Centre Policy Overview

Copies of all policies are available in each room for your benefit. Please ask the team if you would like a copy of any of our policies. Our policies are regularly reviewed and parent’s input is greatly valued. This helps us to ensure that the centre is answering the needs of our community.

Our Sustainability

Sustainability in early childhood education is an essential part of our curriculum and our everyday practice. Equipping children with foundations and knowledge, enables them to acquire a sense of duty and to be active members in the journey for sustainability. Sustainability is throughout the centre – we have a vegetable patch, worm farms, water world, and interactive and engaging yards to enhance learning throughout the day.

The Environment

Treehouse Early Learning Centres are purpose-built childcare services that aim to be the most reliable and set new measures for early education and care. Our dynamic, compliant environments are sensitive to children and promotes communications, risk-taking, experimentation, links to nature, play and collaboration. Children are our number one focus.

We see the children in our care thrive, develop and reach their own learning goals when given a stimulating learning environment. The environment should be interesting, engaging and inspire children into more profound learning experiences.

Our Community

Treehouse Early Learning Centres acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the land on which our childcare service is established and their continuing connection to land, sea and community. Treehouse Early Learning Centres also pay respect to Elders past and present. We support our educators to insert their views into our educational practices, so their language and culture are accessible to all children. We promote the advancement of close, open and respectful ties with the local Kingston community and elders.

Our Meals

Our team base our menus on the most up-to-date knowledge from sources like Feed Australia, the Australian Dietary Guidelines for Children and Adolescents, the Australian Infant Feeding Guidelines and Nutrition Australia. We follow the highest standards of food safety and hygiene practices throughout the service. The team offers regular professional development to assure that they meet these conditions in their daily practices. Meals incorporate various vegetables and fruit with a focus on low added sugar and unsaturated fats.

Menus are alternated frequently to expand young appetites, and we cater to a diversity of dietary and cultural requirements. Our service is nut-free, and our premises and procedures comply with all food safety regulations. A nutritious diet is essential for children’s growth, so we make sure to provide meals that deliver children all the nutrients and energy they need. Children love to eat together, so mealtimes are always fun!
